Attends Healthcare Products manufactures and markets many of the most trusted and well-known disposable adult incontinence products. They are used in hospitals, long-term care facilities, and the growing home-care market. We manufacture and market products to manage every type and degree of adult incontinence. Through this broad range of products, we are able to meet individual incontinent needs.
In 1979, the Attends brand was created in Greenville, North Carolina. By the following year, production was in full swing at the Greenville plant.
Over the next two decades, Attends Healthcare Products pioneered the sale and use of disposable adult incontinence products in healthcare facilities. We converted thousands of hospitals and long-term care homes from the use of traditional cloth garments to disposables. Our products have always offered many benefits, including skin health, patient dignity, reduced environmental impact, and lower overall cost.
Between 2001 and 2006, Attends Healthcare Products was one of the pioneers in developing protective underwear as a new adult incontinence product. In anticipation of growing demand, Attends Healthcare Products improved production efficiency and introduced two more popular products: Attends Breathable Briefs and Attends Bariatric Briefs.
“Attends Healthcare Products, Inc.” was adopted as the new corporate name to communicate the Attends mission more accurately in 2007. That same year, CEO Michael Fagan and his management team focused on improving operations and growing the company.
2009 was a year of accomplishments for Attends Healthcare Products. The company went a full year without a recordable injury and logged more than 2 million hours without a lost-time injury. Attends Healthcare Products expanded its in-house lab, making it the one of the best-equipped plants in the industry for evaluating raw materials and testing the performance of adult incontinence products.
Attends Healthcare Products continuously focuses on improving its processes, including state-of-the-art, high-speed vision systems to automatically inspect every unit produced and reject substandard products. Attends Healthcare Products also created its own transportation department and reduced the environmental impact of shipping its products.
In 2010, in recognition of outstanding work during 2008-09, Attends Healthcare Products received the Industry of the Year award for Pitt County, North Carolina, the home of corporate headquarters and operations for Attends Healthcare Products.
2010 also saw the relaunch of the Attends brand and the refocusing of the company as a manufacturer of incontinence products. Building on the heritage of the company as a pioneer in adult incontinence products, Attends Healthcare Products is the smart choice in incontinence care.
This new position is the foundation for a major overhaul of the Attends web presence for consumers and our business partners. Our new websites benefit customers in terms of product selection, new product communication, and understanding Attends product advantages.
